Howard Frederick Marcellis

Howard Frederick Marcellis passed away on July 7, 2024. Howard was born on August 7, 1928 to the late Joseph and Ethel Marcellis. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by Joan Leitch (daughter), Larry Marcellis (son), Clifford Marcellis (brother) and Joyce Warnstrom (sister).

Those left to cherish his memory are Reba Marcellis (wife), Alice Larson (sister), Daniel Marcellis (son) [Anne Marcellis], and Suzanne Lail (daughter in law) [Adam Lail]. Grandchildren: Justin Marcellis, Jason Marcellis, Josh Marcellis (Vilay Marcellis), Lyndsay David (Chad David), Brian Leitch, and Eric Leitch.  8 great grandchildren.

Howard loved building everything from science projects to ground up new homes. Hunting and fishing were his favorites. He became an avid Packer fan during the 1960’s. He also loved water skiing and Sunday afternoons. He loved to take the family for weekend afternoon car rides. He was a dedicated manager at the local paper mill for many years. He invented many things to make life easier.

A celebration of Howard’s life will be held at Crossroads Community Church, 1421 Cajahs Mountain Road, Hudson, NC 28638. Officiated by Pastor Rick Bowman.
