Faye Proffit

Helen Faye Chandler Proffit, age 80, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 27, 2024 at Frye Regional Medical Center. She was born in Caldwell County on December 4, 1943 to the late Eula Chandler Bryant.

Faye was a simple woman who loved God, life and family.

Other than her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Proffit; daughter, Sherry Berry; and son, Darrell Proffit.

Faye is survived by her grandsons, Michael Shane and Dalton Walsh; granddaughters Stacey Fain; and husband, Patrick; Hailey Crump; great-grandchildren, Stryder and Charleigh Fain; and sister, Ann Chester.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Chandler-Cling Cemetery, 2517 Setzers Creek Road, Lenoir, NC 28645 on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 7:00 PM.
