Helen Lefevers Correll

Helen Lefevers Correll, age 93, of Hickory, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at her residence. She was born March 27, 1930 in Caldwell County to the late William McKinley Lefevers and Myrtle L. Bean. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her spouse, Bill Correll; brother, Charles Lefevers; sister, Mary Lefevers Day.

Helen was an avid gardener and enjoyed the outdoors. She loved her family dearly especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Dean McGhinnis and wife Nancy, Todd Correll and wife Julie; grandson, Jason McGhinnis and wife Amber; granddaughters, Morgan and Marley Correll; great-grandsons, Carter and Corbin McGhinnis; four brothers, William Lefevers and wife Katie, Johnny Lefevers, Clyde Lefevers and wife Barbara, and Joe Lefevers; three sisters, Juanita Walsh, Joanne Craig, and Barbara (Bobbie) Eckerd.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Evans Funeral Service Chapel.

A graveside service will immediately follow the visitation at Blue Ridge Memorial Park on Friday conducted by Reverend Tom McDonald.
