Helen Faries Johnson

Helen Johnson, 98, of Lenoir, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Amorem Hospice in Hudson.

Helen was born on June 4, 1925, to the late James and Lydia Faries.

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Clinard Johnson; daughter, Jeannette Craig, and numerous siblings.

Those left to cherish Helen’s memory are her son, Hal Justice; daughters, Evelyn Reese, Carolyn Cardwell (Steve), Catherine Hamby (Larry); grandchildren, Shannon, Tracy, Amy, Sabrina, Jeff, Cindy, and Kim and numerous other relatives.

Helen loved to be outside working in her yard.  She was a lady of many talents.  Helen was a great woman that loved the Lord.  She loved her family and her church.  Helen was loved by many and she will be sorely missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be sent to Amorem, 526 Pine Mountain Rd, Hudson, NC 28638.

There will be a graveside service held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Whitnel First Baptist Church in Lenoir at 11:00 AM with Pastor Steve Hedgecock and Pastor Stuart White officiating.
