Helen Prestwood Grice

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Helen Prestwood Grice, age 83, of Lenoir, died Friday, August 28, 2009 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born August 25, 1926 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Grice was a daughter of the late Clyde Marshall and Mary Bush Prestwood and the wife of the late John Roy Grice. Mrs. Grice was a member of Whitnel United Methodist Church and had retired from Quality Furniture. Mrs. Grice was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Prestwood Grice. She is survived by her daughter, Ms. Mary Grice of Raleigh; her daughter-in-law, Enola Keener Grice of Cary; one brother, James B. Prestwood and wife Margaret of Lenoir; two sisters, Elsie Prestwood Livingston and husband Robert of Lenoir; Caroline Prestwood Cogdell and husband William of Lenoir and four grandchildren, Jonathan Keener Grice of Raleigh; Christopher Jeffrey Grice of Cary, John-David Still of Raleigh and Jacob David Still of Raleigh. A celebration of Mrs. Grice?s life will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday, August 30, 2009 at Whitnel United Methodist Church with Reverend Leon Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 6 until 8 PM at Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir.
