Helen Sue Evans

Helen Sue Evans, 92, of Hudson, NC went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2020. Sue was born in Caldwell County on July 9, 1928 to the late Charles and Myrl King. Sue was married to the late Mike Evans. Sue was a member of First Baptist Church of Whitnel. Sue worked and retired as an LPN for Caldwell County Health Department for 25 years. Sue was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents and husband, Sue is preceded in death by her two sisters Doris King Bumgarner and Stella Pauline Richard and her brother Wilburn Solomon King. Sue is survived by her son Michael Evans and his wife Julie of Hickory. She is, also, survived by her sister, Mildred King Johnson. Sue is survived by her three grandchildren Alicia Evans McGee and husband Eric, Amanda Evan Reese and husband Brad, and Michael Evans II. Sue is survived by her three great-grandchildren Kalob McGee, Nora McGee, and Lillian Reese. There will be graveside service for Sue held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 11:00 am.
