Hazel Norman

Hazel Coleen Greene Norman, age 89, of Lenoir passed away, Friday, May 15th at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.She was born in Caldwell County to the late Ira and Mary Walker Greene.In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Russell Norman; a daughter, Sharon Norman; three sisters, Mattie Mae Laney, Reba Sides and Pauline shew; a brother, Lonnie Greene; a grandson, Greg Nelson. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Triplett and Diane Nelson (husband Wayne); a son, Larry Norman (wife Beverly); her grandsons, Brad Nelson (wife April), Jeremy Norman (wife Kelly) and Tyler Norman; a granddaughter, Ashley Roberts (husband Ben); seven great grandchildren, Megan Byrd, Jake Nelson, Terry Wayne Nelson, Keirstyn Norman, Jayden Norman, C.J. Lowman and Ronin Roberts; three great great grandchildren, Charlotte Byrd, Kiera Lowman and Kingsley Nelson; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Hazel was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.She was a hard worker.After retiring from Broyhill Occasional #1, she assisted her husband Russell in his refinishing shop.She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader.The thing she will be remembered for most of all, is the love for her family and teaching them by example to love others unconditionally.
