Hazel Arney Moore

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Hazel Arney Moore, age 86, of Rocky Road, Lenoir, died Friday evening, April 7, 2006 at her home. Born July 7, 1919 in Lenoir, Mrs. Moore was a daughter of the late Ellis E. and Gurlie McCall Arney and the wife of the late R. Hughes Moore. Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and a member of Hartland Baptist Church where she was the last surviving charter member. She is survived by three daughters, Willa Dean Beamer and husband John D. of Winston-Salem; Doris M. Kennedy of Charlotte, Patsy A. Moore of Greensboro; one son, Eugene H. Moore of Seven Springs, 4 grandchildren, Brian Armstrong, Joni Johnson and husband Jim, Michelle A. Sloop, Robert Armstrong and 3 great-grandchildren, Nytashia, Caleb and Elijah. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Gail Moore, a daughter-in-law, Jeanette N. Moore, a grandson, Clark Nethercutt and two brothers, Virgil (Bill) Arney and Fritz (Buck) Arney. A celebration of Mrs. Moore̢۪s life will be held today, Sunday, April 9, 2006 at 2:30 PM at Hartland Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Parker and Reverend Gary Shew officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1 until 2:30 PM prior to the service.
