Hazel Teasley Auton

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Hazel Teasley Auton, age 83, of Lenoir, died Friday, October 26, 2007 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born May 23, 1924 in South Carolina, Mrs. Auton was a daughter of the late Boyd and Rosie Chester Teasley and the wife of the late Victor Lee Auton. Hazel loved people with a servant?s heart. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She is survived by five daughters, Wanda Johnson and husband Terry; Anita Rominger and husband Shelby; Dee Dee Triplett; Rosezean Nelson and husband Randy; Joan Edmisten and husband Larry all of Lenoir; two sons, Ted Auton and wife Nadine and Shannon Auton, all of Lenoir; two sisters, Troyleen Hester and husband Odell of Lincolnton; Gail Eller and husband Bruce of Salisbury; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Garry Wilcox and her son-in-law, Marty Triplett. Funeral services for Mrs. Auton will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Faith Baptist Church with Reverend James Hicks and Reverend Jerry Lingerfelt officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Advent Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 29, 2007 from 6 until 8 PM at Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir.
