Harry Roy Marsack

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Harry Roy Marsack, age 71, of Lenoir passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012 at his home. Born August 16, 1940 in New Baltimore, Michigan, Roy was a son of Blanche German Marsack and the late Harry Noah Marsack. Roy enjoyed playing the piano, loved music, and playing it in his home church. He graduated from Bible School and then served as a missionary to the Philippine Islands from 1962 to 1983. His life revolved in and around the church and his missionary work. He strengthened his family and was proud with the birth of his daughter Phyllis in 1967 and in 1976 with the birth of his son, Ron. He loved and enjoyed all six of his grandchildren, they were his pride and joy. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Marsack; and a sister, Judy Marsack Evans. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Faith Bristle Marsack; his children, Phyllis McClellan, husband Rick, Ron Marsack, wife Heather; his grandchildren, Brandon, Jessica, Kathyrn, Jubilee, Zachary and Michael; his siblings, David & Kathleen Marsack, Blanche Vennard, husband Ron, Dennis and Penny Marsack and Derwood Marsack. A celebration of Roy’s life will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Central Assembly of God in Boone at 12:30 PM. Pastor Chuck Bristle will officiate the service. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the church.
