Mr. Harry Ray Cook, age 78, of Hudson passed away unexpectedly at his home, Monday, February 6, 2017. He was born March 31, 1938 in Caldwell County to Thelma Bumgarner Cook and the late Russell Corm Cook. Harry was a truck driver and drove for Sharpe motor lines and Century furniture for many years. He was also a devoted caregiver to his mother for many years. His favorite things to do were gardening and working outside and repairing, building projects he enjoyed. He was also a beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mildred Jane, maternal grandparents, Horace and Delia Bumgarner; his paternal grandparents, Oscar and Julie Cook; and his sister in law, Audrey Weaver Cook and Brother in law John Micol. In addition to his mother, survivors include daughters, Sherry Cook Ervin (husband Randy) of Newton and Terry Cook Senez (husband Bryan) of Walker, LA; a son, Rick Cook(wife Maria) of Mary Esther, FL; grandchildren, Tammy Cook and Nathan Cook; and great grandchildren, Nickayla and Addyson Cook; a sister, Edith Micol; his brothers, Dwight(wife Vivian), Jimmy (wife Claudia), Joe (wife Blenda) and Wayne; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of Harry’s life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Center Grove Baptist Church at 4:00 PM with Preacher Doug Howell officiating.
