Harlie Brook Carter

Lenoir, NC- Harlie Brook Carter, age 19, of Lenoir, went home to be with the Lord, June 4, 2010. Harlie was born December 17, 1990 to April Michelle Hamby and Gary David Ritch. Harlie was later adopted by her Maternal Grandparents, Marlene and Floyd Carter. Harlie was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandfather, Arnold Adkins and a cousin, Chassidy Pitts. Survivors include her mother, April Hamby and her husband, Mike; her father, Gary Ritch, her adoptive parents and grandparents, Marlene and Floyd Carter; her aunt and uncle, Jerry and Marie Teague; 3 sisters, Hailey Hamby, Destiney Hamby, Tasha Ritch; one brother, Michael Hamby, Jr. and the most precious of all, her Daughter, Kendyll Buchanan. Harlie loved her daughter and she loved her mommy. Harlie was full of life and did not deserve what happened to her, but she would want us all to be happy and not cry. Harlie had many friends and people whom she loved and who loves her. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Evans Funeral Service from 6 until 7:30 PM.
