Hampton William Boyette

Lenoir, NC – Hampton William Boyette, Jr., age 83, a resident of Lenoir Park Assisted Living, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Valdese General Hospital. He was born July 27, 1928 in Anson County to the late Hampton William Boyette and Mary Wesley Thompson Boyette. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Boyette, Fred Craven Boyette, Haywood Glenn Boyette, and sisters, Margaret Liles, Emily Thompson, and Sarah Dunlap. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Beasley of San Diego,CA; two sons, Michael William Boyette of Canutillo,TX and Glenn Alan Boyette of Phoenix, AZ; and two grandchildren. He is also survived by two special nieces, Barbara Gentry and Rita Joines of Lenoir and several other nieces and nephews. He retired from the U.S. Navy as Master Chief in December 1966. After that he worked as a safety engineer for two different insurance companies. Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 4:00 PM at Eastview Cemetery in Wadesboro, NC with Preacher Paul Gentry officiating. Military honors will be presented.
