Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Gwendolyn ?Gwen? Miller Honeycutt, age 79, of Lenoir, died  Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born August 27, 1930 in Caldwell County, she was a daughter of the late Reverend Lawrence A. and Agnes Baker Miller. Mrs. Honeycutt was a member of the Covenant Baptist Church and had worked many years as a bookkeeper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Steve Powell; one brother, Lawrence B. Miller; and one sister, Dare Brittain. She is survived by a granddaughter, Patricia Zullo ,husband Paul, of Weaverville; two great grandchildren, Dominic and McKenna Zullo of Weaverville; two sisters, Jo Cooper of Hickory, Olivia Cooke of Lenoir; two brothers and sisters in law, Boyd and Janice Miller of Swansboro, NC, and Dean and Sandra Miller of Hudson, NC; one brother in law, Clifford Brittain of Conover, sister in law, Ginger Miller of Lenoir; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A celebration of Mrs. Honeycutt?s life will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 3, 2009 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service of Lenoir with Reverend David Beane and Reverend Carl Hamm  officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Service on Saturday from 12 until 1 PM, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood St., Lenoir, NC 28645 or to the Covenant Baptist Church, 1425 Lee Pearson Road, Granite Falls, NC 28630.
