Gwen Teague

Lenoir- Mrs. Gwendolyn Proffit Teague, age 78, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice. She was born in Caldwell County on March 6, 1940 to the late Wayne and Blanche Shepherd Proffit. Mrs. Teague was long-time, active member of First Methodist Church Lenoir. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Teague. Mrs. Teague is survived by her sons, Michael Teague of Hickory; Jason Teague of Mooresville; sister, Mary Sue Boutwell; brother, John Proffit; grandchildren, Ava Teague, Ian Teague and Harper Teague; and nephews, George Boutwell, III and Jay Proffit; nieces, Christy Ottaviano and Jenny Swift. A memorial service for Mrs. Teague will be held at First United Methodist Church Lenoir on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Dave Melton officiating.
