Guy Wesley Edwards

Guy Wesley Edwards, age 75, of Hudson, North Carolina peacefully entered glory on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Amorem in Burke County. Guy was born on March 16, 1948 to the late William and Dora Edwards in Surry County North Carolina. In addition to his parents, Guy is preceded in death by his wife; Bronda Edwards, and his sister; Judy Edwards. Those left to cherish his memory are his family; Jerry and Glenna Anderson, Tracy and Alyson Anderson, Kyle and Lauren, Kaden and Kaitlin, Kenin, Kamdyn, Karrington, Bruce and Kena Cohenour, Jakob and Will Lenard, Ronnie and Pat Osborne, Jeremiah, Kim, Eli and Lucas, Martha, Mark Osborne, Justin, Mallory, Cameron, Carter and Cole Bryson, Caleb, Meredith and Presley Hayes and numerous other friends and family members. Guy enjoyed playing golf, watching sports and cheering on his nieces and nephews in any activities or events in which they participated. He loved attending Hudson First Baptist Church, where he was an enthusiastic greeter and member. Guy also enjoyed delivering Wednesday night meals and Christmas day lunches. He had a big personality, a generous heart and he never met a stranger. A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Hudson, conducted by Pastor Mack Jarvis III. Family will receive friends at 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens of Hickory with full Military Honors provided by the DAV of Hudson and the National Guard. The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Toy Store at First Baptist Church of Hudson located at 345 Main St, Hudson, NC 28638.
