Gregory J.D. Patterson

Lenoir, NC- Gregory J. D. Patterson, died on August 27, 2011 in Greensboro, NC at the age of 55. He was born in Lenoir, NC on January 29, 1956 to Annie Mae and Earl Patterson. A Funeral Service will be held at Patterson Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 4170 Grandin Road, Lenoir, NC 28645 at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 1, 2011 with Pastor John Milton and Reverend Willie Jackson officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in the Pear Tree Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Gregory was educated in the public school system in Lenoir, NC and served the United States Army. He leaves to cherish his loving memory two sons, Phillip Patterson of Greensboro and Brent Fox and wife, Wanda of Houston, Texas; mother, Annie Ferguson and husband, C.W. of Jonesville, NC; four sisters, Shirley Rouson and Peggy Jones of Greensboro, Evelyn Lipford of Lenoir; and Ellen Carr and husband David of Granite Falls; one brother Earl Monroe Patterson of Lenoir; three grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Allen Patterson, his father Earl J. Patterson and three brothers, Freddy, Tony and Bill Patterson.
