Gregory Van Minton

Gregory Van Minton, 63, of Wilkes County, NC passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

Greg was born July 14, 1960, to Shelba Minton Beck and the late Millard Minton Sr.

In addition to his father, he is preceded death by his grandparents, Moses and Marion Swaim and Richard and Carrie Minton.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Shelba Minton Beck; brother, Millard Minton, Jr. (Ling); sister, Teresa Hillman (Chris); close lifelong friend, Tim Tolliver; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Greg enjoyed carpentry and music.  He had a bunch of pet squirrels that he fed and his neighbor’s dog, Izzy.

A funeral service to celebrate Greg’s life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Cranberry Baptist Church on old 421 in Roaring River, NC with Reverend Dr. Chris Hillman and Pastor Victor Church officiating.  The family will have a visitation prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cranberry Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Cranberry Baptist Church Cemetery.
