Glenn Yates

Hudson – Glenn Edgar Yates, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 24, 2020 at his residence. He was born on December 21, 1944 to the late Edgar and Lela Yates. Glenn was loyal in his Christian faith and attended South Lenoir Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Midyette Yates; brothers, Bill Yates, Junior Yates and Bobby Yates; sister, Mildred Yates Sherrill; and nephew, Mike Yates. Glenn is survived by his brother, Jerry Yates; sisters, Pauline Bivens and Barbara Ramsey; and many nieces and nephews and other family members, whom he loved very much. A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held at South Lenoir Church of God on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Bishop Ernest Bowes officiating. Internment will follow the service at Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
