Gladys Aileene Stroupe Minton

On December 18, 2023 Heaven's Gates opened once again to let another Angel come home.  Gladys Aileene Stroupe Minton passed away peacefully at home after an extended illness.  Aileene was a very accomplished lady who always worked hard to take care of her family.  She had a smile that was truly unforgettable and could brighten the darkest of days.  She was an talented cook, baker, seamstress, painter, builder  and had her real estate license. However, Aileene considered her greatest accomplishment in life her family, which she loved with a pure all encompassing unselfishness. Our Mom's and Grandmother's lap and arms were always the safest place in the world, and through her stories, scripture, hugs and kisses, she taught us to never give up and that we were Special, always Stronger and Smarter than we thought and you always have a safe place to fall (Home)!  We will carry on your Love and Legacy and continue to make the World a Better Place.  We Love You.

Aileene was preceded in death in by her parents Forrest Benjamin Stroupe and Gladys Victoria Stroupe, her husband William (Bill) Minton, her sisters Joan Lowe and Martha Oxford. She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Miller, her son, Benny Joe Minton, her daughter Bobbie Minton Merkwa and her husband Paul, her grandchildren, Cora Deitz, Chris Deitz and Alliy Merkwa and her fiance Andy Muniz.

A Celebration of Aileene's Life will be held at a later date.
