Geraldine Matheson Lenoir – Mrs. Edna Geraldine Eggers Matheson, age 80, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Caldwell Hospice. She wasborn in Watauga County on August 18, 1934 to the late Tip and Blannie Eggers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Matheson; sister, Ilean Lowrance; and brothers, Steward Eggers, Mack Eggers, and Carl Eggers. Mrs. Matheson is survived by her son, Randy Matheson and Annette Gragg; son, Mark Matheson and wife, Misty; sister, Willeen “Willie” Albright; grandchildren, Latasha Mills, Macey Matheson, and Montaga Matheson. A celebration of Mrs. Matheson’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evan’s Funeral Service on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Raymond Spann officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Earp Bedding, Tony Watson, Brad Laws, Kevin Bentley, Tim Austin, Chad Triplett, and Montaga Matheson. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service.
