Georgia Bernice Grogan

Georgia Bernice Grogan (Tootsie), age 95, was born on February 24, 1926 in Ashe County and passed away on March 23, 2021 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care in Lenoir. She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Graybeal; mother, Berta Osborne Roark and husband Charles; her beloved husband, Pete H. Grogan; sisters, Eva Presnell and Geri Becker; brother, Charles Edward Roark; and son-in-law, Tim Triplett. She is survived by her daughters, Linda G. Triplett, Donna G. Cox and husband Larry; granddaughters, Abbie Bolick and husband Ted, and Aimee Triplett; great granddaughter, Jordan Bolick; and brother, Bill Roark and wife Becky. The family would like to thank neighbors, friends, family, church members, Dr. John Bowen, and others for their kindness to her over the years. Bernice was a homemaker, a caregiver, volunteer worker and an accountant. She was a member of Yadkin Baptist Church. A Funeral Service to honor Bernice will be held at Evans Funeral Service (Chapel) on March 26, 2021 at 3:00pm with Pastor Robert Livingston and Pastor Stuart White officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00pm – 3:00pm.
