Georgia Goble

Mrs. Georgia Whisnant Goble, age 92, of Lenoir passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Shaire Center. Born January 19, 1927 in Caldwell county, Georgia was a daughter of the late John William and Martha Saunders Whisnant.Georgia was a devoted Christian and member of the Tabernacle Advent Christian Church.She enjoyed reading her bible, sewing, painting, decorating and housekeeping.She was a doll maker and enjoyed giving them to others.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother and four sisters. Survivors include her husband, Joe Goble, to whom she was deeply devoted for 67 years; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews whom she influenced greatly; she was a dynamic and vivacious person who is survived by many friends and other relatives. A celebration of Georgia’s life will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the Tabernacle Advent Christian Church with Reverend Bob Copeland and Reverend Jim Lee officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The family requests memorials be made to the Tabernacle Advent Christian Church at P.O.
