Gary Lee Watson

 Hudson, NC- Gary Lee Watson, age 56, of Hudson, passed away unexpectedly this week. A native of Caldwell County, Gary was the son of Hoover Watson and Charlotte Church Watson. Gary attended Lenoir High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Army where he was a master mechanic. After his service in the armed forces Gary came back to Caldwell County and was employed by Valley Chevrolet and Discount Auto Glass. Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman, and all of his spare time was spent outdoors. Gary is survived by two sons Shane Watson and Brent Watson; one daughter, Lindsay Watson; four sisters, Wanda Huffstetler, Sherry Woods, Benita Watson, and Tilley F. Woodring, all of Lenoir. Gary also had a host of loving nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends was held Saturday, January 23, at the home of Sherry Woods and Tim Woods. A service honoring Gary?s memory will be held Saturday, January 30, 2010 at New Life Baptist Church from 2:00 until 4:00.
