Gary Ashley

Mr. Gary Greene Ashley, age 67, of Lenoir passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at his home. Born October 31, 1951 in Watauga County, Gary was a son of the late Greene and Faye Hollars Ashley.Gary was an upholster and had spent over 40 years working in the furniture industry.He loved spending time with his family.He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends.In addition to cooking, Gary enjoyed golfing and fishing.Gary will be remembered for always having a smile on his face and having a heart of gold.In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother, Mark Ashley. Survivors include his two sons, Ricky Ashley (wife Erica) and Brian Ashley (girlfriend Sissy); two brothers, Clay Ashley (wife Elaine) and Phillip Ashley ( wife Tracy); a sister in law, Teresa Perkins, the widow of Mark Ashley; his grandchildren, Kiersten Ashley, Garrett Ashley, Bryson Ashley, Mariah Ashley, Kayleigh Ashley; two great grandchildren, Aria Sellers and Alia Sellers;nieces and nephews, Bradley Ashley, Stephanie Ashley Simpson, Misty Ashley Cook, Angela Ashley Dunne and Alivia Ashley; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. The family will have a receiving of friends on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 1128 Apple Lane, Hudson.
