Garry Eller

Mr. Garry Howell Eller, age 70, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019, at Wake Forest Baptist Health Care. Born February 7, 1949, in Haywood County, Garry was a son of Gaye Howell Eller and the late Emmett Eller.Garry was a veteran of the US Navy, where he served as a Hospital Corpsman for four years.He worked as a RN for the NC DOC as an Assistant Medical Director for 30 years. He also worked in the ER at Valdese General Hospital. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon M. Eller; two sons, Brian (wife Cindy) and Matthew Eller (wife Ashley); a brother, Clay Eller (wife Rita); his sister, Sherry Gasperson (husband Les); his grandchildren, Brandon, Keegan, Kaitlyn, Heidi, Chloee, Abby and Garrett.He is also survived by numerous other beloved relatives. A celebration of Garry’s life will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019, in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
