Garland Lee Beaver

Garland “Leroy” Beaver, age 53, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Garland was an active member of Living Hope Church. He enjoyed participating in Special Olympics and loved his many teammates and friends he made. Garland looked forward to his outside work, mowing and landscaping.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Sanders Beaver; mother, Mattie Smith; sisters, Sherry Prestwood; brothers, Floyd Beaver; Jerry Beaver; Chris Beaver; son, Nicholas Beck and wife, Jessica; and many other family members.

A celebration of Garland’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Living Hope Church with Pastor Keith Gilliam and Pastor Gray Williams officiating. There will be a private burial at Laurel Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the service.
