Fritz Reid

Fritz Joseph Reid, age 74 of Lenoir NC passed away on Feb 18th, 2021 at Hickory Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center. Fritz was born in Caldwell County on February 14, 1947 to the late Fred and Elizabeth Moore Reid. Fritz was a member of the Harpertown Methodist Church. He was an active member in the community and enjoyed car racing, wrestling and westerns. He had a way of leaving an impression on whoever he met, which was usually everybody. He will truly be missed. In addition to his parents, Fritz is preceded in death by four sisters; Maggie Boyce, Ruby Howard, Frankie Smith and Annie Reid Stover. He is survived by two sisters, Nellie Wellington and Florence Baker, his daughter Cathy Reid and two grandchildren, Christopher and Pamela Reid and numerous nieces and nephews. A small private memorial will be held at Christ Church of Lenoir, 2879 Morganton Blvd Lenoir NC. A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 pm until 2 pm on Feb 27th 2021. Immediately following the service the family will proceed to Collettsville for the spreading of the ashes upon Fritz’s request.
