Freddie Dean Wilson

Freddie Dean Wilson, 83, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, April 4, 2025 at his residence with his wife by his side. He was born in Caldwell County on October 29, 1941 to the late Woodrow Wilson and Ruth Reese Wilson. He was married to Judy Craig Wilson of the home.

Freddie was an active member of College Avenue Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. He was a proud Lenoir High School Bearcat graduate, where he was a force on the football field.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Rodney, Bob, Glenwood and Boyd “Bobo” Wilson; sisters, Joyce Triplett and Norma Dillard.

Other than his wife, he is survived by his children, Amy; Dean, Christian; step-daughter, Nikki; Etta; sister, Reba Barlow; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at College Avenue Baptist Church on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Lewis Steele officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
