Lenoir, NC- Frank “Frankie†Joseph Lenfestey, Jr., age 64, of Lenoir, passed away peacefully at Caldwell Memorial Hospital, Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Born April 18, 1949 in Freeport, NY, Frankie was a son of the late Frank Joseph Lenfestey, Sr. and Elizabeth Jane Gerding Lenfestey. Frankie was the oldest living person with Smith Magenis Syndrome. Although he had what people consider a disability, Frankie lived each and every day to the fullest, being full of joy, hope and laughter. Frankie enjoyed traveling and shopping. People would often see him in Goodwill or Wal-Mart meeting and greeting his friends. The local restaurant folks would often see Frankie and enjoy his big heart and smile. Frankie truly treated ladies with respect and often greeted them with a kiss on their hand. He was a big Carolina Panther fan and was a collector of sports cards. Frankie was the inspiration for the breakfastcluborg. He is survived by his loving sister, Susie G. Lenfestey and his “Foster Daddyâ€, Randy Wood, both of the home; his Uncle and Aunt, Donald and Vivian McCoach of Hubbardsville, NY; his Foster Uncle and Aunt, Sonny and Ruth Johns; Cousins, Donnie, Doug, Dan and Vivian; Nephew, Derrick Wolf; his “Grandchildrenâ€, Finn and Owen Wolf and many other loving Family and Friends. Frankie is also survived by his pet-buddy, “Scooby Dooâ€, his dog he rescued and became his friend. A gathering of Family and Friends will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir. A Graveside Service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in the Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro, PA, where Frankie will rest between his Father and Mother.
