Frank Arney

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Franklin Delano Arney, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. He was born in Burke County on September 4, 1939 to the late Earl Arney and Ethel Brown Arney. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed his family and friends. Mr. Arney retired from Lenoir Mirror Company after 45 years of service. He was a long-time member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mike Arney; brothers, Junior Arney and Clyde Arney; and sister, Elizabeth Arney Laughridge. Mr. Arney is survived by his wife, Florence Brown Arney; children, Frank Arney, Jr.; Tim Arney; Lory Arney; Danny Arney and Denise Arney Price; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mr. Arney’s life will be held on Monday, May 29, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Jan Huntley and Reverend Harvey Huntley officiating. Interment will be at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
