Francis Joseph Rabideau

Mr. Francis Joseph Rabideau, age 87, of Lenoir, graduated to glory from Blue Ridge UNC Healthcare – Morganton on March 20, 2021. He was born on May 27, 1933 in Clinton County, NY to John Rabideau and Gladis Brooks Rabideau. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rita Mae Smart Rabideau; daughter, Connie L. Roberts; and eight siblings. He was an amazing father, faithful Christian, and an active member of Temple Baptist Church in Lenoir. He was a correctional officer for thirty-five years at Dannemora Correctional Facility. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War and received a Purple Heart. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Scott F.Rabideau (Lisa); Todd F. Rabideau (Shari); daughters, Tracie L. Patnode (Michael); Brandie L. Cross (Andrew); sister, Marie Drollette (Gary); son-in-law, Kim W. Roberts; eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
