Frances Shook

Lenoir – Mrs. Frances Church Shook, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Caldwell County on August 21, 1938 to the late William M. Church and Virginia Kent Church. Mrs. Shook is survived by her husband of 66 years, William E. Shook, Sr., of the home. Mrs. Shook was a loving wife, mother and Memaw. She retired from Carolina Shoe as a quality control inspector after several years of service. Mrs. Shook was a member of Grandview Baptist Church and she enjoyed painting, growing flowers and tending to her vegetable garden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William “Bud” Shook, Jr.; and her brother, Odell Church. Other than her husband, Mrs. Shook is survived by her son, Randy Shook and wife, Dana; daughter, Patricia Warren and husband, Alan; son, Steven Shook and wife, Beverly; grandchildren, William E. “B.J.” Shook, III and wife Roxie; Brandy Mecimore and husband, Scott; Tyler Warren; Jessica Warren; Travis Shook; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kendall, Everly, Alexia and Blake, along with many special nieces and nephews that she dearly loved. A private graveside service celebrating the life of Mrs. Shook will be held on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be B.J. Shook, Travis Shook, Tyler Warren, David Church, Mark Shook and Tim Braswell.
