Frances Marion Norwood

Frances M Norwood, age 96, of Lenoir passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024, at UNC Health-Caldwell Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Frances was born in Caldwell County on January 5, 1928, to the late Amanda Norwood. She was preceded in death by siblings, Ruby N Corpening, Jean N Harper, William “Porky” Norwood, Lesley “Bum” Norwood. Frances was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church.

Frances is survived by her children Laura Lee and Todd Norwood of the home. Siblings Rev. Jimmie (wife, Mary Alice) Norwood, Connie N Ferguson, and Linda N Denny and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services for Frances will be held on Monday, July 22 with a receiving of friends at 1:30pm and funeral service beginning at 2:00pm at Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. James Perkins officiating and Rev. Larry Smith delivering the eulogy. The burial will take place at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
