Foy Douglas Bolick

Foy Douglas Bolick, age 74, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Caldwell County on March 22, 1950 to Lillian Bolick Hendren and the late Foy Gilbert Bolick. He was married to Marie Bean Bolick, of the home, for 33 years.

Doug enjoyed being active in his church, Green Valley Baptist, where he was involved in many different capacities. He loved the Lord, reading his Bible and being outdoors.

In addition to his to father, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Vonnie Bolick and his brother, Todd Hendren, who passed away one day after him.

Other than his wife and mother, Doug is survived by his son, Chris Bolick; brother, Kenneth Bolick; and several other family members.

A celebration of Doug’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Roger Derreberry and Pastor Keith Phelps officiating. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service.
