Floye Gibson

Mrs. Floye Smith Gibson, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Shaire Center. She was born in Caldwell County to the late George and Ally Louet Smith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Gibson;  her son, Reverend Randy Gibson; and many of her siblings and close family members.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Wanda Gibson; granddaughter, Alisha Gibson and grandson, Jamieson Gibson; brother, Ted Smith; and her niece, Susie Willliams.

A graveside service celebrating Mrs. Gibson’s life will be held at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Sam Craven officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Union Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 1808 Union Grove Road, Lenoir, NC  28645.
