Floyd Clark

Floyd Clark Jr., 85, of Hudson, North Carolina went home to be with the Lord suddenly on February 4, 2022. Floyd was born on January 1, 1937 to the late Floyd Clark Sr. and Rose Aldegarie of Crystal Falls, Michigan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, DuWayne Clark and Thomas Clark. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Kathaleen “Kitty” Clark of sixty-two years of Hudson NC; daughters, Patty Guthrie and husband Paul Guthrie of Lenoir NC, Katy Lollis and husband Bill Lollis of Hope Mills NC; son, Mark Thomas Clark of Hickory NC; granddaughters, Angela Land and husband Joel Land of Lenoir, Amanda Hamby and husband Travis Hamby of Lenoir, Allison Guthrie and fiancé to Clay Fuller of Cherryville NC; grandsons, Preston Lollis III, Pierce Lollis, and Parker Lollis and fiancé Alexis Parker of Hope Mills NC; great grandchildren, Ella Grace Hamby, Jaden Robinson, and the twins, Lily and Ivey Land. He loved the outdoors, fishing (a member of Cajah’s Mountain Bass Club), hunting, watching classic movies, dancing, enjoyed traveling the world and was an avid dog lover. He was retired from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of thirty years. Floyd was an honorable Army Veteran in the Korean War. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree, as well as a member of CIRA, REFCOM, and the American Legion. Floyd loved to snow ski, water ski, and swim. Always a handyman. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Above all he cherished his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by his friends, family, and community. A memorial service celebrating Floyd's life will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service.Military Honors will be provided by the National Guard and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 12:00 PM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church located 328-B Woodsway Lane NW, Lenoir, NC 28645 Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.evansfuneralservice.com.
