Floy Beatrice Cook Munday

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Floy Beatrice Cook Munday, age 87, of Lenoir, died Monday, June 30, 2008, in Shaire Center Nursing Home. Born March 25, 1921 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Munday was a daughter of the late Reverend Charles Finley and Mary Phillips Cook and the wife of the late Roy Dock Munday. Mrs. Munday was a homemaker and member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by 3 daughters, Barbara Bauer of Los Angeles, CA; Sandra Tanner and husband Frank of Saraland, AL; Cheryl Denise Ennis and husband Bob of Ft. Myers, FL; one son, Ronald Wayne Munday and wife Cheryl Goforth Munday of Lenoir; 9 grandchildren, Christopher Ryan Tanner and wife Stephanie of Ferrysburg, OH; Aaron Seth Tanner of Saraland, AL; Joshua Lee Bauer of New York City, NY; Matthew Scott Bauer of San Francisco, CA; Duncan Wade Ennis and wife Veron of Ft. Myers, FL; William Hunter Munday and Charles Roy Munday both of Lenoir; Michael Zachary Ennis of Ft. Myers, FL; Madison Marie Munday of Lenoir and one great-granddaughter, Erin Sydney Tanner of Ferrysburg, OH. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Ray Cook, Robert Cook and William Cook and two sisters, Ruth Ritch and Pansy Hice. A celebration of Mrs. Munday?s life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in Mountain Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Ed Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 1, 2008 from 6 until 8 PM at Evans Funeral Service of Lenoir. Mrs. Munday?s Grandsons will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
