Flossie Gibbs Surrett

Lenoir, NC- Flossie Gibbs Surrett, age 48, of Lenoir, died December 4, 2007 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born December 3, 1959 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Surrett was a daughter of the late Richard and Katherine Suddreth Gibbs and the wife of the late Calvin Surrett. She is survived by 3 brothers, Douglas C. Gibbs and wife Shirley of Lenoir; Richard M. Gibbs and wife Geneva of Ferguson; Nathan O. Gibbs of Morganton; 3 sisters, Angela G. Wright and husband Johnny of Lenoir; Eleanor Gibbs of Morganton; Nell Phillips of Lenoir; 2 paternal uncles, Charles Gibbs and wife Bea of Newton; Frank Gibbs and wife Celessie of Catawba; paternal aunt, Flossie Lindsey of Lenoir; one maternal uncle, William A. Suddreth and wife Mary; 4 maternal aunts, Joan S. Echard and husband Gaither; Lallage S. Killian; Jonelle Suddreth, all of Lenoir and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Surrett?s life will be held 11:30 AM Monday, December 10, 2007 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church with Reverend W.L. Howell and Reverend James Wilfong officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 until 11:30, prior to the service and at other times at the home of Lallage Killian, 609 Center Street, Lenoir.
