Flora "Flo" Eddine Braswell

Flora “Flo” Eddine Braswell, age 92, of Lenoir, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  She was born August 20, 1930 in Caldwell County.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Larry Edsel; two sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Edsel “Dick” Braswell; son, Charles Edward Braswell (Dianne); grandson, Eddie Braswell; great-grandson, Zachary Braswell; two brothers, Jim Haas and Tom Haas; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Flo was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Whitnel for over 70 years.

She enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves play and was a NC State fan.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, August, 17, 2023 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Whitnel conducted by Reverend Steve Hedgecock and Brother Eddie Greene.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm -1:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
