Felice Overton

Born on November 22, 1975, to Hezekiah Jones and the late Baby Bet Rembert, she was a beloved daughter, sister, friend, and mother who touched countless lives with her radiant smile and generous spirit. From a young age Felice had an unbreakable spirit, an inspiring determination, and a compassionate heart that made her a light to everyone around her. She was loved and cherished in foster care by Ed Rodgers and the late Dorothy Rodgers and later by John Reinhardt and the late Loresa Reinhardt. She was adopted by Ruthelle Overton in Sanford, NC.

Felice was a graduate of Lee Senior High School then went on to continue training for a career in phlebotomy until she was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma in 2023.

Above all one of her favorite pastimes was to cook and spend time with her grandkids. Felice cherished her family. She was a mother to Kentaris Dorsett, Kentrel Overton, and Kayana Overton. She shared an unbreakable bond with her grandkids: Ky’liya Wilson, Nyla Wilson, and Jylen Brown. Her family meant everything to her, and her legacy of love, resilience, and compassion lives on in her memory.

Felice leaves behind a host of family and friends who will forever cherish her memory, including her father, her children, and grandchildren. Her siblings: Elisha Rembert (Robin), Arleevia Danner, Sophia Jones, Hezekiah Jones and her extended family of brothers and sisters: Ruthell Overton, Priscilla Overton, David Overton, James Overton, Renee Overton, Gina Rogers, Angela Rogers, Alex Rogers, Quentin Reinhardt and Mederia Reinhardt. A lot of nieces and nephews, along with great nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Her passing leaves a void in our hearts, yet we are comforted knowing her spirit will continue to guide and inspire.
