Faye Ellen Harris Ward, 83, of Connelly Springs passed away on April 25, 2022. Faye was born in Caldwell County on March 20, 1939 to the late John Robert and Essie Winebarger Harris. She was married to the late Louis “Shorty” Ward for 51 years. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her one daughter, Ella May; two grandchildren, Eric Christopher Ward and Brandi Nicole Greene; and her two great-grandchildren, Tabitha Brooke Ward and Johannah Marie Hayes. She is preceded in death by her five brothers: Ervin, Rev. Floyd, Daniel, Charles, and Rev. Jack Harris; and her three sisters: Tubie Hefner, Kate Stilwell, and Maggie Helton. Faye is survived by her eight children: Sammy, Rodney (Billie), Kelly, and Chris Ward, Mischelle Smith (Bobby), Lisa Greene (Greg), Lana Austin (Keith), and Dolly Frye (Roger); sister, Joyce Harris; 16 grandkids; 19 great-grandkids; 7 great-great-grandkids; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ward was a devoted mother, wife and a shining star of a true Christian disciple. She was a retired employee of Shuford Mills; as well as, a life long member of the Church of God of Prophecy. There will be a service held at The Church on the Rock on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 3:00 pm. The family will receive guests from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Interment will follow immediately after the service at the church cemetery.
