Faye Decker Pritchard

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Faye Pritchard, age 86, of Lenoir, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. Born May 28, 1925 in Caldwell County, Faye was a daughter of the late, William and Zelma Braswell Decker. She had worked for a number of years at the Bernharts Furniture Company. She was a loyal member of the Wildwood Advent Christian Church. Faye enjoyed working with her flowers and spending time with family. She spent a lot of time raising her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Willard Pritchard; three sons, Jeffery Pritchard, Jay Pritchard, and Neil Douglas Pritchard; three grandchildren, Jonathan Shell, Hope Shell and W. Eric Clark; a great grandchild, Codie Clark; four sisters, Shirley Raby, Mae Dillard, Verlon Hartley and Wilma Raby; and two brothers, Bill Oxford and Otis Oxford. Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Glenn and JoAnn Pritchard of Hudson; two daughters and a son in law, Joan Powell of Lenoir, and Kathy and Richard Whisnant of Hudson; a brother and sister in law, Clyde and Mabelene Decker of Tennessee; her grandchildren, Sarah and Rick Triplett of Connelly Springs, Joseph Clark of Gamewell, James and Sheena Shell of Gamewell, Jason Whisnant of Hudson, Elizabeth Lingle of Lenoir; and Dustin Bryant of Lenoir; she is also survived by 10 great grandchildren , one great great grandchild and numerous other relatives. A celebration of Faye’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Allen Raby officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Wildwood Advent Christian Church. Serving as pallbearers will be James Shell, Jason Whisnant, Tyler Graham, Brandon Triplett, Joseph Clark and Jonathan Shell.
