Faye Stephens Nelson

Lenoir, NC-Faye Stephens Nelson, age 87, of Lenoir, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, May 14, 2010. Ms. Nelson was born March 24, 1923 in Ashe County to the late Robey A. Stephens and Bertie Conner Stephens. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, 3 sisters, one son, James Ambers Wilcox, one daughter, Betty Jean Morrison, one grandson, John Eric Wilcox and 2 great-grandsons. Ms. Nelson was a member of Hibriten Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, John Carl Wilcox and wife Mary of Hudson; one grandson, Gary Dean Morrison and wife Olena of Whitnel; one granddaughter, Sherry Wilcox Watson and husband Dinkie of Lenoir; 7 great-grandchildren, Dean Morrison and wife Amy of Whitnel, Ricky Watson and wife Jessica of Lenoir, Brandon Watson and wife Jessica of Dudley Shoals; Terry (T.A.)Watson of Lenoir; Jackie Harrison, Allan and Anicka Wilcox of Hickory; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Brittany and Dameon Morrison of Whitnel and Jordan Eric Watson of Dudley Shoals. A celebration of Ms. Nelson?s life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, May 16, 2010 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Doug Cox officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
