Faye Ellen Hollars Ashley

Hudson, NC- Mrs. Faye Ellen Hollars Ashley of Baton passed away on Monday, December 5, 2011. She was born on January 2, 1932 in Watauga County to the late Eugene and Mary Ellen Mayberry Hollars of Boone. She was of Baptist faith and had previously worked for Baton Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Greene Austin Ashley and her son, Mark Steven Ashley, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and a great-grandson. Survivors include a sister, Sylvia Hollars Johnson of Houston, TX; Gary Ashley of the home; Clay Ashley and wife, Elaine of Granite Falls; Phillip Ashley and wife, Tracy of Hickory; and Teresa Ashley Perkins of Baton. Her grandchildren are Ricky and Erica Ashley, Brian Ashley, John and Stephanie Simpson, Bradley Ashley, Misty Ashley, Ryan and Angela Dunne, Alivia Ashley, Tosha Lail; and 14 great-grandchlidren. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Pastor Rodney Raby officiating.
