Faye Moore Ferguson

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Faye Moore Ferguson, age 96, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. She was born in Caldwell County on February 21, 1917 to the late D.R. Moore and Bertha Holloway Moore of Granite Falls. Mrs. Ferguson was a teacher in the Caldwell County School System for more than 30 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Kemp Ferguson; son, Ron Ferguson; sister, Irene Moore; and brothers, Olin Moore, Stewart Moore and Dr. J.D. Moore. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Church and husband, Bob of Hudson; daughter-in-law, Gail Ferguson of Lexington, SC; three grandchildren, Dr. Jeff Church and wife, Lynn of Lenoir; Randy Church and wife, Lisa of Tampa, FL; and David Ferguson of Lexington, SC; four great-grandchildren, Emily Church of Wilmington, NC; Katie Church of Lenoir; and Aerin Church and Jon Church of Tampa, FL. A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Ferguson at Blue Ridge Memorial Park on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Reverend John Herald officiating. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service from 6:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday, November 25, 2013. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of the Shaire Center for the quality and loving care they showed to Mrs. Ferguson.
