Evelyn Stoots Kincaid

Evelyn Stoots Kincaid, age 87, of Hudson, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at her residence.She was born June 10, 1933 in Marion, VA to the late Garland Stoots and Dorothy Haga Musser.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Powell and Shirley Hutton; one step-daughter, Cindy Hayes and husband Danny; one half-brother, Robert Canning; two brothers-in-law, Howard Shumate and David (Pooch) Powell and one sister-in-law, Phyllis Stoots. Survivors include her husband, Roy Dennis Kincaid; one son, Roger Henderlite and wife Pam; two daughters, Peggy Welsh and Sandy Rhodes; one step-son, Leonard Kincaid and wife Teresa; two grandsons, Cory Henderlite and wife Abby and Gary Welsh; one granddaughter, Shannon Kohnle and husband Ben; great-grandchildren, Kellen and Evy; one step-grandson, Danny Hayes, Jr.; one step-granddaughter, Brandy; three step-great-grandsons, Logan, Gage, and Colt; one brother, Garland (Buster) Stoots; two sisters, Virginia Ann Jones and Karen Shumate; and several nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.She had a passion for crocheting and a love for others.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.She will be missed by all who knew her. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, October, 3, 2020 at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by Reverend Lonnie Bell.
