Evelyn Victoria Bryan Mast

Taylorsville, NC-Mrs. Evelyn Victoria Bryan Mast, age 72, of Taylorsville, died Friday, February 10, 2012 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Born January 29,1940 in Watauga County, Mrs. Mast was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie Jennings and Edna Mae Ellison Bryan; her husband, Andy Patterson Mast, Jr., 2 sons, Anthony James Mast and Andy Patterson "Little Andy" Mast III and a brother, Stephen Henry Bryan. She is survived by 4 children, Angelia Teague of Taylorsville, Martha Mast of Deep Gap, Arlie Mast of Taylorsville, Randall Mast and wife Audrey of Taylorsville; 3 sisters, Linda Gentry and husband Jack, Kathy Day and husband Glenn, Lydia Calloway; 4 brothers, Roy Bryan and wife Sandra, Wayne Bryan and wife Illa, Ronnie Bryan and wife Sylvia, Phillip Bryan and wife Wilma. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and her church family. Mrs. Mast was a loving mother who cared deeply for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a great love for Christ and tried to pass it along to everyone she met. She was a beloved member of Hibriten Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 13, 2012 from 5:00 until 6:30 PM at Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir. Funeral services will be held at Liberty Baptist Church in Boone on Tuesday February 14,2012. Mrs. Mast will lie in state from 1:00 until 2:00 PM with service following. Pastor Doug Cox will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Proffitt's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
