Evan James Pate

Evan James Pate, age 36, passed away on March 18, 2024. He was surpassed in death by his father Raymond Pate, grandfathers Dean Holt and James Pate, and grandmother Eleanor Pate. Those left behind to cherish his memory are mother Lori Pate, grandmother Marjorie Holt, sister Sarah Holt; husband Vincent “Tiny”, Lexi Pate, Jayden Pate, brother Cannedy Pate; wife Sarah Pate, and nieces Rae Holt, Rylie Holt and Skylyn Holt.

Evan was born in Las Vegas, NV on December 9, 1987. He was a happy child who could always be found watching or participating in any type of sport with his father. He spent many years playing soccer, hockey, golf, disc golf and skateboarding. Evan enjoyed watching all major sports leagues with his favorites being the Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves, and the Vegas Golden Knights. Evan earned his Eagle Scout with hard work and dedication and was proud of that achievement. He enjoyed spending time with his grandfather Dean at his wrecking yard in Las Vegas. Evan moved from Las Vegas, NV to Lenoir, NC in 2016. Here he dived into his passion for disc golf and fishing.

Evan will be missed by so many more than his immediate family, but by also those he chose to be his extended family.

A memorial will be held on April 13, 2024, location TBD.
