Eugene Peterson

Hickory NC. Mr. Eugene Ray Peterson age 70, passed away on Thursday January 14, 2016 at Frye Medical Hospital. He was born September 21, 1945 in Lacrosse Wi. to the late Chester Peterson and Mildred Beier Peterson. He was Married to Barbara Walsh Peterson. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in Vietnam. In addition to his wife he was survived by two daughters Gina McLean and husband John, grandson Jason McLean Renee Peterson and grandaughter Autumn. Step-Children Leslie Peet, Jason Henson and wife Kelly. Two step-grandchildren Madison Henson, Henri Peet, sisters Carol Parnes and husband Bob of Cliffwood Beach N. J. Darlene Greeno of Frankfort Indiana, brother Rainey & Carolyn of Victorville California and numerous neice's and nephews. Preceding him death a grandson Jonathan McLean, two sisters, two brothers. Eugene attened Sparta High School & had many friends in his hometown and kept in contact. Eugene (Pete) was inducted into Sparta Athletic wall of Fame. September 24th 1998, wife by his side. He excelled in Football, Basketball, Track. Graveside rites with Full Military rites were held January 16th at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
